Gabicce establishes itself as an ideal gateway to explore Marche and Romagna’s most beautiful corners. What should you visit in these places? How should you plan a day like no other? Here we left a few tips mentioning the sights you don’t want to miss.

Mount San Bartolo National Park

A stunning natural park bordering our hotel. Here a number of activities in close contact with nature are organized and it is possible to take an independent stroll at all times, getting lost through the landscape and enjoying the breathtaking panorama looking out over the sea.

A short distance from Gabicce, Gradara is a Medieval fortified town renowned for having been the scenario of the legendary love between Paolo and Francesca, as narrated by Dante. Gradara was named Borgo dei Borghi 2018 (Village of the Villages 2018), ranked as Italy’s most beautiful village.

A Renaissance village, Urbino is nowadays a lively university town where culture swirls all around. Here you will admire Palazzo Ducale (The Duke’s Palace), the masterpieces by Tiziano and Piero della Francesca, Raffaello’s birth house and the numerous tiny churches dotting the historic center.

Grotte di Frasassi

30 km of karst caves unfurling through the world’s best known underground routes. Le Grotte di Frasassi (Frasassi Caves) lie inside Parco della Gola della Rossa (Gola della Rossa Park) and can be visited along two routes: one suitable for the whole family, easy and fit for beginners and a speleological one ideal for experts and more adventurous trekkers.

San Leo

On the peak of a rocky boulder from which visitors will be marveling at a beautiful view over the coast and the inland, rise San Leo and its fortress. A highly suggestive village where wandering aimlessly and getting lost amidst winding routes, excellent restaurants and delicious shops will be a real pleasure.

San Marino

San Marino’s historic center can be reached by car or via the characteristic cable car you can catch from the castle of Borgo Maggiore. Here you will have a chance to admire Unesco’s heritage-listed wonders of the world’s most ancient Republic: from Tre Torri (Three Towers) to Palazzo Pubblico (Public Palace), from Basilica del Santo (Saint’s Basilica) to Cava dei Balestrieri (Balestrieri Cave).
